Get your film and photos scanned at the resolution you choose. We offer photo scanning services at 300, 600, and 1200ppi and film scanning services at resolutions up to 8000ppi. "PPI" is short for "pixels per inch." Generally speaking, more "ppi" means larger prints - and larger files. |

TIP: |
300ppi is a good photo scanning resolution for same-size reprints. Opt for higher resolutions if you will be making enlargements of certain photos. When scanning film, we prefer scans of at least 3200 ppi for enlargements, reprints, and when archiving film to digital media. Scan resolutions of 2700ppi or less may not capture all the detail that is available on the film. |
